12.28.010 - Duty to repair after poles, etc., erected.

No person in the exercise of his rights to erect poles, string wires or lay pipes over and upon the streets, avenues, alleys or lanes of the city shall leave any street, avenue, alley or lane in any other than good condition and of like material as it was before he began his work. When any holes or ditches are dug, he shall fill such ditches or holes and, when the earth or other material with which they are filled shall settle below the level of the contiguous ground, he shall refill and continue to do this until it shall be settled and firm and on the level with the balance of such street, avenue, alley or land. Every day that any such person refuses or neglects to attend to and perform such work shall be deemed a separate offense.

12.28.020 - Removal of poles, wires, etc.

No person owing or having any franchise or right to erect poles, string wires or lay pipes in, over or upon any of the public streets, avenues, parking spaces, lanes or alleys in the city shall refuse or neglect to remove any pole, wire or pipe erected, installed or maintained under such franchise or right, from any such public street, avenue, parking space, lane or alley, in compliance with a lawful order or resolution of the city council so to do and within five days after receiving a copy of such order or resolution.
