Sec. 38-36. - Membership termination.

All members of the police department shall serve during good behavior or until such time as retired on account of incapacity, age or length of term of service. All members of the police department, including on-call employees, part-time employees, reserve officers and members of the auxiliary police force shall retire, resign or be terminated as members of the police department upon reaching the age of 65 years. This section shall not apply to crossing guards.
