Sec. 14-231. - Residential use.

(a) The use of a mobilehome, trailer or coach for residential purposes is prohibited except within a mobilehome park.

(b) The use of manufactured housing for residential purposes is permitted, but only in those zones where such a structure is specifically indicated to be a permitted use.

Sec. 14-232. - Temporary use permit for office, commercial or manufacturing purposes.

(a) The use of mobilehomes, trailers or coaches for office, commercial or manufacturing purposes shall be limited to temporary use only for a period of time not to exceed six months.

(b) Application for temporary use permits shall be made to the planning director. He shall issue the permit if he finds that the proposed use complies with all applicable zoning ordinances, including setback requirements, parking requirements and sign requirements. The permit shall not authorize any utility hookups, except temporary telephone or electrical service may be provided by means of a temporary power pole.

(c) An additional time period may be authorized after a public hearing in each case under a conditional use permit in accordance with procedures stated in article XV of chapter 86 of this Code.
