Chapter 12.08 — CITY PARKS

12.08.010 - Prohibited hours.¶
It is unlawful for any person to be or remain in any city park between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day without having received a permit to do so from the Chief of Police or his authorized representative. Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

12.08.020 - Injuring trees, plants, grass plots, etc.¶
Every person whom in any manner injures any tree, plant, shrub, grass plot or grass growing in or upon any of the public parks or grounds, or plucks flowers or fruit from any growing vine, bush, tree, plant, or shrub in any of the public parks or grounds in the city shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

12.08.030 - Driving motor vehicles on grass plots.¶
Every person who by means of a motor or other vehicle of any kind whatsoever or in any manner at all drives upon any grass plot, grass, plant or shrubbery growing in any of the public parks or grounds in the city or in or upon any cultivated area or any ground prepared for the planting of grass, plants, trees or shrubbery in any public park or grounds in the city shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

12.08.040 - Riding or driving animals or vehicles upon other than roadways.¶
Any person who rides, drives, or leads any animal or vehicle of any kind in any of the public parks of the City other than upon the roadways therein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

12.08.050 - Passive parks.¶
The Heller Park, located at the intersection of Herman and Heller Streets, and the E.L. Walter Park, located at the intersection of Linden and Oak Streets are hereby designated as passive parks. No games or activities involving a piece of sporting or recreational equipment which can be thrown, batted, hit, or kicked shall be conducted or engaged in said parks, except tennis in existing courts at Heller Park.
12.08.060 - Civic Center site.¶
The Civic Center site located between Redwood Avenue, Center Street, and Bellevue Road is hereby designated as a passive use area. No games or activities such as football, soccer, baseball, softball, archery, golf, etc. shall be played, conducted, or engaged on said Civic Center site. Said site is reserved for future Civic Center uses and in the meantime may be used for passive recreational uses only.
