2.04.010 - Meetings—Time.

The date and time for regular meetings of the city council shall be established by resolution of the city council.

2.04.020 - Meetings—Place.

Regular meetings of the city council shall be held at the city council chambers located at 215 E. Branch Street, Arroyo Grande; provided, however, the place of regular meetings may be changed by majority vote of the city council and upon posting on the doors of the city council chambers a notice of the time and place of the changed meeting.

2.04.030 - Meetings—Change of time.

The council, from time to time, may change the hour or day of the month on which regular meetings of the council shall be held by the adoption of a resolution so to do passed by a four-fifths majority vote of the council.

2.04.040 - Salary compensation for mayor and council members.

A.

Population. As of January 1, 2019, the estimated population of the City of Arroyo Grande is less than thirty-five thousand (35,000) residents.

B.

Council Salaries. The salary for the mayor and each council member shall be six hundred forty eight dollars ($648.00) per month, effective December 1, 2022.

C.

Council Expenses. The salaries set forth herein are, and shall be, exclusive of any amount payable to the mayor and each council member for actual and necessary expenses incurred by the mayor or council member in the performance of official duties for the city.

D.

Additional Compensation for Mayor. The mayor shall receive compensation in addition to that which the mayor receives as a council member in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per month, effective December 1, 2022.

E.

Retirement/Benefits. Any amounts paid by the city for retirement, health and welfare, and federal social security benefits shall not be included for purposes of determining salary under this section, provided the same benefits are available and paid by the city for its employees generally.

2.04.050 - Fees for agenda, minutes and related documents.

The fee for city council and all other city boards and commissions meeting agenda packets, including agenda, minutes, staff reports and other related documents, agenda and minutes only, and agenda only shall be established by resolution of the city council.
