8330.1. - AMENDMENT.

Article 690.13(A) of the 2025 California Electrical Code is amended to read as follows due to local climatic and geographical conditions:

609.13(A) Location. The PV system disconnecting means shall be installed at a readily accessible location. A single, visible-open, lockable AC disconnect shall be provided within 3 feet of the meter on the exterior of the building. Where disconnecting means of systems above 30 V are readily accessible to unqualified

persons, any enclosure door or hinged cover that exposes live parts when open shall be locked or require a tool to open.
