§ 4-5.101 SCOPE.¶
For the purposes of this chapter, unless otherwise apparent from the context, certain words and phrases used in this chapter are defined as set forth in this article.

§ 4-5.102 VEHICLE CODE DEFINITIONS.¶
Whenever any words or phrases used in this chapter are not defined in this article but are defined in the California Vehicle Code and amendments thereto, such definitions shall apply.

§ 4-5.103 CENTRAL TRAFFIC DISTRICT.¶
CENTRAL TRAFFIC DISTRICT. All streets and portions of streets described as follows:
(1) F Street from the north boundary of Second Street to the south boundary of Fourth Street;
(2) G Street from the north boundary of First Street to the south boundary of Fifth Street;
(3) H Street from the north boundary of First Street to the south boundary of Fourth Street;
(4) I Street from the north boundary of First Street to the south boundary of Third Street;
(5) First Street from the east boundary of G Street to the west boundary of I Street;
(6) Second Street from the east boundary of F Street to the west boundary of I Street;
(7) Third Street from the east boundary of F Street to the west boundary of I Street; and
(8) Fourth Street from the east boundary of F Street to the west boundary of H Street.

§ 4-5.104 COUNCIL.¶

§ 4-5.105 HOLIDAYS.¶
HOLIDAYS. January 1, February 12, the third Monday of February, the last Monday of May, July 4, the first Monday of September, September 9, November 11, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If January 1, February 12, July 4, September 9, or December 25 falls upon a Sunday, the Monday following shall be a holiday.

§ 4-5.106 LOADING ZONE.¶
LOADING ZONE. The space adjacent to a curb reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers or materials.

§ 4-5.107 OFFICIAL STANDARD TIME.¶
OFFICIAL STANDARD TIME. Wherever certain hours are named in this chapter, they shall mean standard time or daylight saving time as may be in current use in the city.

§ 4-5.108 OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.¶
OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES. All signs, signals, markings, and devices, not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter, placed or erected by the authority of a public body or official having jurisdiction for the purpose of regulating, warning, or guiding traffic.

§ 4-5.109 OFFICIAL TRAFFIC SIGNALS.¶
OFFICIAL TRAFFIC SIGNALS. Any device, whether manually, electrically, or mechanically operated, by which traffic is alternately directed to stop and proceed and which signal is erected by the authority of a public body or official having jurisdiction.

§ 4-5.110 PARKWAY.¶
PARKWAY. That portion of a street other than a roadway or a sidewalk.

§ 4-5.111 PASSENGER LOADING ZONE.¶
PASSENGER LOADING ZONE. The space adjacent to a curb reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers.

§ 4-5.112 POLICE OFFICER.¶
POLICE OFFICER. Every officer of the Police Department of the city.
