16.20.010 - Notices of appeal.

Appeals may be made from any decision or determination or requirement of the planning commission or the city engineer by any person aggrieved by filing a notice thereof in writing with the city clerk within five days after such decision or determination or requirement is made. Such notice shall set forth in detail the action and grounds upon which such person deems himself aggrieved.

16.20.020 - Report of the city clerk to the planning commission and city engineer.

The city clerk shall report the filing of such notice to the planning commission and the city engineer. A written report shall be submitted to the council by the one whose decision, determination or requirement is being appealed not later than the date set for hearing such appeal.

16.20.030 - Action on appeals.

Upon the filing of an appeal, the council shall set the matter for a hearing. Such hearing shall be held within thirty days after the date of filing the appeal. Upon the conclusion of the hearing, the council shall, within ten days, declare its findings based upon the testimony and documents before it. The council may overrule or modify the decision, determination or requirement appealed from and enter any such orders as are in harmony with the spirit and purposes of this chapter.
