3-4-1500 - Violations; Punishment.¶
Except as provided in Sections 3-4-1505 and 3-4-1510 any violation of this chapter is an infraction punishable as provided by law.

3-4-1505 - Violation Resulting in Death or Serious Injury to Livestock; Punishment.¶
Any violation of this chapter that results in death or serious injury to livestock is a misdemeanor punishable as provided by law. As used in this section, "serious injury" means injury of a degree of severity that the injured animal must be destroyed or injury that results in the fair market value of the animal being reduced to a level at which it may not be profitably sold.

3-4-1520 - Violation of Specified Provisions—Misdemeanor.¶
Any violation of Sections 3-4-1000, 3-4-1005, 3-4-1010, 3-4-1030, 3-4-1035, 3-4-1040, 3-4-1045, 3-4-1075, Article 11, or Article 14 of this chapter is a misdemeanor punishable as provided by law.

3-4-1525 - Separate Offense.¶
Every person violating any provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day, or portion thereof, during which the violation continues, and shall be punishable therefore as provided in this article.

3-4-1530 - Animal Control Violators School.¶
A court of competent jurisdiction may order any person convicted of a violation of this chapter to attend a school for animal control violators for instruction in the care and control of animals, consistent with this chapter and State law. The curriculum of any such school shall be subject to the approval of the Animal Control Officer.

3-4-1535 - Disposition of Fine.¶
a. All fines collected for violations of Division 14 of the Food and Agricultural Code shall be paid into the Town Treasury and used as follows:
First, to pay fees for the issuance of licenses and permits under this chapter;
Second, to pay fees, salaries, costs, expenses, or any or all of them for the enforcement of this chapter;
Third, to pay damages to owners of livestock which are killed by dogs;
Fourth, to pay costs of any hospitalization or emergency care of animals pursuant to Penal Code Section 597f.
b. All fines collected for violations of this chapter shall be paid into the Town Treasury and used as follows:
One-half (½) as set forth in subsection a of this section;
One-half (½) to pay for humane education and training.
