1-4-300 - Purchasing Agent Designated.

The Town Manager is designated as Purchasing Agent. The Town Manager may delegate all or a portion of the purchasing duties to any staff member.

1-4-305 - Duties.

The Purchasing Agent shall develop methods and procedures, consistent with law, which in the Agent's judgment, will secure the lowest price consistent with the quality desirable for the use intended and the needs of the requisitions.

The Agent's authority includes responsibility for purchasing or rental of products and services, including engaging independent contractors, inspecting products upon receipt to assure conformance with specifications, recommending disposal of surplus property, and maintenance of records necessary for the efficient acquisition of goods and services.
