6-1-2057 California Fire Code, Section 3306.5.2. ¶

California Fire Code, Section 3306.5.2 is amended to read:

3306.5.2 Where Required. In buildings of combustible construction required to have automatic sprinkler system by Section 903, automatic sprinkler system shall be installed prior to construction exceeding 40 feet in height above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access. California Fire Code, Section 3306.5.3 is added to read:

3306.5.3 Buildings Being Demolished. Where a building is being demolished and an automatic sprinkler system is existing within such a building, such automatic sprinkler system shall be maintained in an operable condition so as to be available for use by the fire department. Such automatic sprinkler system shall be demolished with the building but shall not be demolished more than one floor below the floor being demolished.
