9.50.010 - Manner of posting prescribed.¶
A. It shall be the duty of each corporation, department head of the city, the chief of police for the city and of each board or commission of the city and of the Public Facilities Corporation or industrial development authority, which has possession or control of any of the facilities, plants and utility properties enumerated in Section 9.50.020 below, to post at each entrance to any structure devoted to any use so enumerated, and at each entrance to any fenced or enclosed area devoted to any such use, and at intervals not more than three hundred feet around any area devoted to such use, substantial signs not less than one square foot in area, displaying prominently the words, "TRESPASSING-LOITERING-FORBIDDEN BY LAW"; provided, however, that any public waiting room, dining room, office or other portion of any structure or premises to which general public access is required in the normal use and operation thereof or where materials are delivered to or received by the public, need not be so posted.
B. The "posted boundary" of any area shall be a line running from sign to sign, and such line need not conform to the legal boundary or legal description of any lot, parcel or acreage of land.

9.50.020 - Posting-Where required.¶
The following places are required to be posted as provided in Section 9.50.010 above:
A. The Willits Municipal Airport, and every plant, field and structure used for the manufacture, assembling or testing of aircraft;
B. Every dam, pumping station, tank, reservoir, and the properties comprising the watershed therefor which comprise or constitute the assets or facilities of the water system of the city;
C. Every plant, drying bed, pond, pumping station, manhole or pipeline which comprises or constitutes the assets or facilities of the sewer system of the city;
D. Every road, parking lot, plant facility, building, storage shed or yard constituting or comprising the assets or facilities of the public works yard of the city; and
E. Every lot, open field, Hogan's alley, building or structure constituting a part of the firearms field range or firearms training facility of the Willits police department.

9.50.030 - Posting-Where optional.¶
Any plant, facility, structure or easement not specified in Section 9.50.020 above which is incidental to the treatment, storage or distribution of sewage for public use or incidental to the treatment storage or distribution of water for public use by the city may likewise be posted in the manner hereinabove described.

9.50.040 - Trespassing.¶
When any such buildings, structures, property or premises have been posted as provided in this chapter, it is unlawful for any person to go upon or to remain upon any place within the posted boundary of any such building, structure, parcel or premises or to enter or remain in any such posted building, structure or facilities, without having upon his/her person the express written consent of the person, firm, corporation, city department head or agency lawfully in possession or control thereof.

9.50.050 - Loitering.¶
It is unlawful for any person to loiter in the immediate vicinity of any premises, parcel or structure posted as provided in this section or have in his/her possession any explosive, cutting tool, firearm or any substance or device of whatever character capable of doing harm or damage to any structure, machinery, equipment, trees, fencing, or any other property, whether real or personal, installed or located upon or within the posted premises or area.
