15.15.010 - 1997 Uniform Housing Code adopted by reference.¶
(a) The City Council of the City of Whittier hereby adopts the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Housing Code based on the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Housing Code as published by the International Code Council, as Chapter 15.15.010 of Title 15 of this Code, except such portions as are deleted, modified, or amended as set forth in this chapter. Said Code is adopted and incorporated as if fully set forth herein.
(b) The purpose of this Code is to prescribe regulations for the protection of the public health and safety and to establish minimum regulations for the abatement of dangerous buildings within the City.
