§ 19.65.010. Violations.

A. It is unlawful to maintain, erect, install, alter, move, expand, or display any sign in violation of this title.

B. It is unlawful to use, occupy or maintain property in violation of this title.

C. Violation of this title shall be a misdemeanor, but may be charged as either a misdemeanor or an infraction at the discretion of the prosecuting attorney.

D. A person who violates the provisions of this title is guilty of a separate offense for each day, or portion thereof, during which the violation continues.

§ 19.65.030. Abatement as nuisance.

Any sign erected, installed, moved, expanded, altered or maintained contrary to the provision of this title is unlawful and a public nuisance. The planning director and building official or his or her appointee shall, upon order of the city council, immediately commence action or proceedings for the abatement and removal and enjoinment thereof in the manner provided by law. The remedies provided for herein shall be cumulative and not exclusive.
