Westlake Village Municipal Code Ch. 2.2 City Offices; Council Chambers; Meetings

The Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Westlake Village shall be located at 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village, California.

The offices of all agencies, departments, officers, and employees of the City shall be located at 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village, California. The location of the City offices may be changed by resolution of the City Council or by amendment of this section.

A. City Offices of the City of Westlake Village shall be open to the public for business from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday of each week, or at such other times as may be designated by resolution of the City Council, except the holidays designated in Subsection B hereof.

B. The holidays in the City of Westlake Village are:

1. New Year's Day, January 1.

2. Martin Luther King/Civil Rights Day, January 15.

3. President's Day, the third Monday in February.

4. Memorial Day, the last Monday in May.

5. Juneteenth, June 19.

6. Independence Day, July 4.

7. Labor Day, the first Monday in September.

8. Veteran's Day, November 11.

9. Thanksgiving, the fourth Thursday and following Friday in November.

10. Christmas Eve, December 24.

11. Christmas Day, December 25.

12. New Year's Eve, December 31.

C. In the event that a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be a holiday. Except as provided in the following sentence, in the event that a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be a holiday. In the event that December 24 and December 31 fall on Sunday, the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve holidays shall be observed on the preceding Friday.

Regular Meetings. Regular meetings of the Westlake Village City Council shall be held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the hour of 6:30 p.m., or, if any such day is on a holiday, then the meeting scheduled on such day shall be held on the next succeeding day that is not a holiday unless the meeting is cancelled by the City Council. Regular meetings shall be held in the Council Chambers.
