4.3.005. - Carrying Knives and Daggers in Plain View Prohibited.¶
A. No person shall carry in plain view on his or her person any knife having a blade of three or more inches in length; any spring-blade, switch-blade, or snap-blade knife; any knife whose blade is automatically released by a spring mechanism or other mechanical device; any ice pick or similar sharp stabbing tool; any straight-edge razor; or any razor blade fitted to a handle.
B. The foregoing restrictions shall not be deemed to prohibit the carrying of ordinary tools or equipment for use in a lawful occupation or for the purpose of lawful recreation.

4.3.010. - Discharging Firearms - Restrictions Generally.¶
(a) No person shall fire, shoot, or discharge any gun, rifle, pistol, or other firearm. The discharge of such guns, rifles, or pistols shall include blank ammunition and/or the discharge of a muzzle loader having a powder charge.
(b) The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
(1) A peace officer in the performance of his or her duty; or
(2) Any person while shooting in a municipally-permitted shooting range; or
(3) Any person while shooting an air gun, air rifle, or air pistol, or any spring gun, spring rifle, or spring pistol, or any carbon dioxide or other gas operated gun, rifle, or pistol in any private place or location constructed or arranged such that it is not possible for the ammunition, projectiles, or other objects expelled by such guns, rifles, or pistols to escape the place or location; or
(4) Any person while lawfully defending life or property; or
(5) The simulated discharge of weapons for the purposes of filming as approved by a film permit issued pursuant to Chapter 6.9 of Article 6 of this Code; or
(6) The discharge of blank ammunition in a starting gun during an athletic event.

4.3.020. - Shooting Arrows or Other Missiles - Restrictions.¶
(a) No person shall fire, shoot, or discharge any arrow, bolt, quarrel, or other missile on any property.
(b) The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
(1) Model rocketry, as may be allowed by the property owner and fire department; or
(2) Any person while shooting in a municipally-permitted archery range; or
(3) Any person while engaging in archery in a private place or location constructed or arranged such that it is not possible for arrows, bolts, quarrels, or other missiles to escape the place or location; or
(4) Any person while lawfully defending life or property; or
(5) The use of archery equipment for the purposes of filming as approved by a film permit issued pursuant to Chapter 6.9 of Article 6 of this Code.

4.3.025. - Broadhead Arrows - Use Prohibited in City.¶
No person shall fire, shoot, or discharge, nor cause nor permit to be shot, fired, or discharged, any broadhead arrow.

4.3.030. - Broadhead Arrows - Furnishing to Minors Under 13.¶
No person shall sell, give away, or in any way furnish to any minor who is under the age of thirteen (13) years any broadhead arrow.

4.3.040. - Same - Furnishing to Minor Under 15 Restricted.¶
No person shall sell, give away, or in any way furnish to any minor who is thirteen (13) years of age or over and under fifteen (15) years of age any broadhead arrow, unless such person first obtains the written consent thereto of his or her parents or legal guardian.

4.3.050. - Same - Use by Minors Under 13 Prohibited.¶
No minor under the age of thirteen (13) years shall shoot or otherwise use any broadhead arrow.

4.3.060. - Same - Dealers to Post Regulations.¶
Every person who sells or otherwise deals in broadhead arrows shall post at all times at his or her place of business a true copy of Sections 4.3.025—4.3.070 of this Chapter.

4.3.065. - Same - Definition.¶
For the purposes of this chapter, "broadhead arrow" means any arrow, bolt, quarrel, or other missile possessing one or more sharp cutting edges, either fixed or movable.

4.3.070.¶
- Firearms used in Violation of Chapter Deemed Nuisances - Surrender and Disposal.
Any firearms, arrow or other missile whose possession or use violates, including by attempt, any provision of this Chapter shall upon conviction of the defendant be deemed a nuisance. Any such firearm, shall be surrendered to the Sheriff who shall dispose of the object in accordance with provisions of Penal Code Section 12028.
