West Sacramento Municipal Code Ch. 10.18 Speed Limits (CA)

§ 10.18.010. Findings.¶

A. Pursuant to Chapter 10.16 of the West Sacramento Municipal Code, on February 21, 2024, the city council of the city of West Sacramento reviewed and considered the engineering and traffic survey, and related information, attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

B. Based upon the review of the survey and related information, the city council finds that the following streets shall have the following posted speed limits:

D. Based upon the review of the survey and related information, the city council finds that the following streets shall have the following posted speed limits:

§ 10.18.020. Direction to city traffic administrator.¶

On or after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, the city traffic administrator is directed to clearly post speed limit signs effectuating Section 10.18.010, to give notice that this chapter is in effect.

§ 10.18.030. No mandatory duty of care.¶

This chapter is not intended to and shall not be construed or given effect in a manner that imposes upon the city or any officer or employee thereof a mandatory duty of care towards persons and property within or without the city so as to provide a basis of civil liability for damages, except as otherwise imposed by law.
