§ 2.26.010. California Existing Building Code adopted.

A. There is adopted by reference, except hereinafter provided, that certain Existing Building Code known and designated as the California Existing Building Code as contained in the 2025 Edition of the California Existing Code excluding appendices published by the California Building Standards Commission and such code shall be and become the Existing Building Code of the City, regulating the repair, alteration, change of occupancy, addition to, and relocation of existing buildings within the City.

B. One copy of such California Existing Building Code has been deposited in the office of the Building Official and shall be at all times maintained by such official for use and examination by the public.

C. In the event of any conflict or ambiguity between any provisions contained in the California Existing Building Code and any provisions of the Walnut Municipal Code, the Walnut Municipal Code shall control.
