10.750.210 Generally.¶
A card room that legally operated in the county of Ventura prior to being annexed to the city pursuant to an “island annexation” under Government Code Section 35013 may continue to operate in the city as a legal nonconforming use subject to the limitations in this chapter. 10.750.220 Termination of legal nonconforming use.¶
The legal nonconforming use of an annexed card room will immediately terminate if any of the following occurs:
A. The card room transfers or changes ownership without the prior approval of the city council; or
B. The city council finds, following due notice and hearing, that the operation of the card room repeatedly or continuously violated federal, state, or local laws and regulations. (Ord. No. 2006-006, § 2, 4-3-06; Ord. No. 2009-001, § 1, 1-12-09; Ord. No. 2021-011, § 1, 11-8-21)
