6150 - Organic solvents.¶
6150-1 - Use prohibited.¶
No person shall inhale, breathe, drink or use in any manner any product or substance which contains an organic solvent with the intent of becoming intoxicated, elated, dazed, paralyzed or irrational or of distorting or disturbing the eyesight, thinking process, balance or coordination, or of affecting the central nervous system.
6150-2 - Transfer prohibited.¶
No person shall sell, furnish, give or cause to be sold, furnished or given any product or substance containing an organic solvent to any person for the purpose of inducing or aiding the latter to inhale, breathe, drink or use such product or substance in violation of this section.
6150-3 - Organic solvents defined.¶
The term "organic solvent" includes but shall not be limited to, amyl acetate, trichlorethylene, acetone or other chemically related compounds used to manufacture products commonly referred to as "glue," "adhesive cement," "mucilage" or "dope."
6150-4 - Exception.¶
The provisions of Section 6150 et seq. shall not apply to any person who inhales, breathes, drinks or otherwise uses an organic solvent product or substance pursuant to the direction or prescription of any doctor, physician, surgeon, dentist or other person authorized by law to so direct and prescribe use of an organic solvent product or substance.
6150-5 - Separate offense.¶
Each separate act or transaction in violation of this section shall be deemed a separate offense.
