7.32.010 - Kennel—License fee.

The fees for a kennel shall be determined and set by resolution of city council. Payment of the required license fees shall entitle the kennel licensee to maintain and operate ten runs. For each additional run, an additional fee determined and set by resolution of the city council shall be charged.

7.32.020 - Kennel—Prevention of dogs from running at large—Maintenance.

All kennels shall he so constructed as to prevent dogs confined therein from running at large off the premises where the kennel is maintained, and shall be maintained, operate and constructed in a sanitary and proper manner so that the same will not become a nuisance to the neighborhood thereof. Dogs may be removed from kennels for training or treatment purposes, provided competent control and supervision is maintained over the dogs at all times.

7.32.030 - Kennel—License issuance—Certificate required.

No kennel license shall be issued until the director has first issued a certificate that the same is operated or is to be operated in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, and such certificate shall be presented to the tax collector with an application for such kennel license.

7.32.040 - Kennel—Dog removal—License required.

Whenever a dog is removed from any such kennel, the owner thereof shall forthwith apply for and obtain an annual license as otherwise required by Chapter 7.20.

7.32.050 - Kennel—License fee—Animal shelters exempt.

The provisions of this chapter requiring the payment of an annual license fee, shall not apply to an animal shelter maintained and operated by a nonprofit corporation (humane society) formed under Title I, Division 2, Part 4 of the Corporations Code of the state of California.

7.32.060 - Cleanliness of premises where animals are kept.

Every person owning or occupying premises where any animal, fowl, or bird is kept shall keep the stable, barn, stall, pen, coop, building or place in which the animal is kept in a clean and sanitary condition.
