Chapter 9.60 — PASSENGER OR FREIGHT LOADING

§ 9.60.010 Passenger and freight loading and unloading zone.¶
No person shall leave standing or parked upon any street, avenue or lane within the city for a time longer than it takes to load or unload passengers or freight or for any time longer than 15 minutes between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of each and every day of the week, excepting Sundays and holidays, in any parking area which shall be designated by yellow paint or other yellow material upon the entire curb surface. § 9.60.020 Authority to establish zones.¶
In the exercise of his or her power to regulate and control traffic upon, and the movement of standing of vehicles upon, the streets or the city, the Chief of Police, subject to the approval of the Manager, is hereby authorized to establish loading and unloading zones in which vehicles will not be permitted to stand longer than 15 minutes or the time necessary to load or unload passengers or freight.
