5.16.050 - Official inspection and stamp required before sale.

It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, expose for sale, barter, exchange or keep for sale for human consumption within the City, any beef, veal, mutton, pork, or goat, without having such beef, veal, mutton, pork, or goat first inspected by the State Meat Inspector under the direction of the Department of Agriculture of the State, as defined by the Agricultural Code of the State, and amendments thereto, and bearing the stamp upon such beef, veal, mutton, pork, or goat, the words "California, inspected and passed" or inspected by the United States Government Inspector and bearing the stamp, "U.S. inspected and passed," or inspected by any San Joaquin Department of Environmental Health.
