2-1 - Place of town council meetings.¶
The regular meetings of the town council shall be held in the Council Chambers located at 1505 Tiburon Boulevard, Tiburon, California.

2-2 - Bond of town officials and employees.¶
The town shall insure all elected and appointed town officials in the form of a public employee's insurance blanket bond. This includes all town officials associated with the Town of Tiburon, the Tiburon redevelopment agency and the Tiburon public facilities authority. The policy limit shall be one million dollars per occurrence, with a deductible of five thousand dollars per occurrence.

2-3.1 - Appointment of interim council members pending special elections.¶
(a) If any vacancy on the town council occurs other than by expiration of a term and the town council calls a special election to fill said vacancy, the town council may appoint any person, otherwise qualified, to fill said vacancy and hold office only until the date of the special election.
(b) The special election shall be held on the next regularly established election date not less than one hundred fourteen days from the call of the special election.
(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, an appointment shall not be made to fill a vacancy on the city council if the appointment would result in a majority of the members serving on the council having been appointed.

2-3.2 - Candidate filing fee for municipal elections.¶
Pursuant to the provisions of section 22843 of the Elections Code, a filing fee in the sum of twenty-five dollars for processing municipal candidates nomination papers is imposed. Such fee shall be paid upon the filing of such nomination papers with the town clerk.

2-3.3 - Date of general municipal elections.¶
(a) Date of general municipal elections. Beginning with the November 2018 election, pursuant to Elections Code Sections 1000(d), 1301, and 10403.5, General Municipal Elections shall be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even-numbered years.
(b) Applicability of California Elections Code. When a municipal election is held in the Town of Tiburon, and the election is consolidated with another election, the provisions contained in part 3 (commencing with section 10400), division 10 of the California Elections Code shall govern the consolidation, and, if the county clerk requested to conduct the general municipal election, section 10403 of the California Elections Code shall apply to that election.
(c) Effect on town elected officers. Following the operative date of this Ordinance, terms of office shall be affected as follows:
(1) Those town officers elected on November 5, 2013, whose four-year terms of office would have, prior to the adoption of this ordinance, expired in November 2017, shall instead remain in office until the certification of the November 2018 election results.
(2) Those Town Officers elected on November 3, 2015, whose four-year terms of office would have, prior to the adoption of this ordinance, expired in November 2019, shall instead remain in office until the certification of the November 2020 election results.
(3) Beginning in November 2018, town councilmembers will be elected for four-year terms. Three councilmembers elected in 2018 will serve for four years and two councilmembers elected in 2020 will serve for four years. This staggered election schedule will continue until modified by ordinance.
