3.12.040 - Department head hiring of classified employees in county budget.¶

The department head of each county department may, pursuant to the provisions of this title, hire the number of employees in the classified service authorized by the budget adopted by the board for his department. At the time of submitting his annual budget request for his department to the board for approval, each department head shall present therewith an itemized statement of his proposed salary funds. Such statement shall contain such information as is required by minute order of the board.
