Tehama Municipal Code Art. I Definitions

For the purpose of this chapter, the words set out in this section shall be defined as follows:

A. "Class" shall mean a definitely recognized kind of employment in the county service designed to embrace all positions having duties and responsibilities sufficiently similar so that the same title may be used, the same requirements as to education, experience, knowledge and ability may be demanded of incumbents, and the same schedule of compensation may be made to apply with equity.

B. "Layoff" shall mean the following: An action wherein, due to reduction in force, a person's employment with the county is terminated.
