3.12.090 - Resignation requirements and procedure.

A. An employee wishing to leave county employment in good standing must upon request file a written notice, explaining the reason, with his department head unless the department head consents to oral notice.

B. Copies of the written resignation shall immediately be forwarded to the county auditor within the next succeeding working day.

C. If an employee leaves county employment without such written notice, the department head shall so indicate on his notice to the county auditor and the employee and this is sufficient reason to preclude re-employment.

D. With board approval appropriate form(s) may be developed for this purpose.
