Chapter 16.04 — PURPOSE AND EFFECT

This title is enacted for the purpose of adopting standards, regulations and procedures for the subdivision and utilization of land in the unincorporated area of the county, as authorized and directed by the Subdivision Map Act, as amended, and other applicable provisions of law and provide for the division of land in accordance with provisions for three primary classifications, which are:

A.

Subdivisions requiring a tentative map and final map;

B.

Subdivisions requiring a tentative map and a final parcel map; and

C.

Minor subdivision requiring a tentative map and a final parcel map; each of which is defined in this title and provide for the reversion to acreage of lands previously divided.

The provisions of the Subdivision Map Act of 1974 shall not apply to any map which was approved prior to March 1, 1975. Such maps shall be processed under the subdivision regulations which applied to the approved map. This section shall be of no further force and effect on and after March 1, 1976.
