11.48.010 - Decrease in speed limit—Portion of Ridge Road—Penalty.¶
A. No person shall drive a vehicle upon that portion of Ridge Road located within the city, commencing at the intersection of Ridge Road and State of California Sign Route Number 49 and terminating at the intersection of said Ridge Road with the easterly boundary of the city limits of the city as said boundary intersects said Ridge Road, at a speed greater than forty miles per hour.
B. The penalty for violations of this section is as prescribed in section 11.02.010 of this Code.
C. The superintendent of public works, in conjunction with the chief of police of the city, shall post and appropriately sign the speed zone by this section created, and the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, although it be an urgency ordinance, is delayed until said signing is completed. The signing required pursuant to this subsection shall be that signing required by the laws of the state and other ordinances of the city governing the restriction of speed upon streets.
