11.24.010 - Parking—Prohibited areas.¶
No person shall, at any time, leave a vehicle standing or parked upon any public street in the city within the parking prohibited signs now erected, which may be erected in the future, or within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant.

11.24.020 - Parking—Conformity with markings.¶
Every vehicle shall be parked in conformity with street markings.

11.24.030 - Red curb—"No parking" area.¶
Red means no stopping, standing or parking at any time except as permitted by the Vehicle Code.

11.24.040 - Green curb—Twenty-minute parking time limit.¶
It is unlawful to park for a period of longer than twenty minutes adjacent to any curb within the city limits where the adjacent curb is painted green.

11.24.050 - Blue curb.¶
Blue allows for standing or parking only a vehicle which displays either a distinguishing license plate or a placard issued pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 22511.5.

11.24.060 - MC Curb painted yellow.¶
The yellow curb designation is for loading or unloading of passengers or active freight loading and unloading only by commercial vehicles or vehicles loading or unloading freight and merchandise to and from places of business or industrial facilities. No vehicle may park in the zone adjacent to any curb painted yellow for more than twenty minutes. These restrictions shall be in effect seven days per week, twenty-four hours a day.

11.24.070 - MC Curb painted white.¶
The white curb designation is for loading or unloading of passengers or depositing of mail into an adjacent mailbox. No vehicle may park in a zone adjacent to any curb painted white for more than five minutes. The driver must remain with the vehicle at all times. White curb regulations shall be in effect seven days per week, twenty-four hours a day.

11.24.080 - "Vehicle" defined.¶
"Vehicle" as used in this chapter means a device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be propelled, moved or drawn upon the street.

11.24.090 - Parking time limited or prohibited on certain enumerated streets.¶
The chief of police upon approval of city council is authorized to limit or prohibit parking on certain streets by means of sign or curb marking giving notice thereof. No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on any of these streets if so signed or marked.

11.24.100 - Vehicles—Blocking.¶
Vehicles must not block or interfere with the proper function of sidewalks, walkways, driveways or fire hydrants.

11.24.110 - Vehicles—Hazardous prohibited.¶
Vehicles containing hazardous waste material or explosives are prohibited and may not park anywhere within the city limits.

11.24.120 - Metered parking spaces.¶
In order to facilitate orderly parking, the city council may cause parking spaces within the city to be metered. Rates to be charged for metered parking spaces shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the city council.

11.24.130 - Violation—Penalty.¶
The penalty for violations of this chapter is as prescribed in section 11.02.010.
