§ 9.32.005. Intent and purpose.

It is the intent of the city enacting this chapter of the Stanton Municipal Code to supplement existing state law and not to invade areas currently regulated by the state.

§ 9.32.010. Betting on games.

No person shall play or bet at or against any game which is played, conducted, dealt or carried on with cards, dice, billiard balls, pool balls, cues, or other devices, for money, checks, chips, credit or any other representative of value or for any merchandise or any other thing of value.

§ 9.32.020. Visiting gambling establishments.

No person shall visit any room, within the city, where any game of chance played with cards, dice or any device, for money, checks, credit or other representative of value, is being played or operated.

§ 9.32.030. Keeping a gambling place.

No person (either as principal, agent, employee or otherwise) shall keep, conduct or maintain within this city any house, room, apartment, or place used in whole or in part as a place where any game is played, conducted, dealt or carried on, with cards, dice, billiard balls, pool balls, cues, or other devices, for money, checks, chips, credit or any other representative of value or for any merchandise or any other thing of value.
