§ 2.76.010. Established.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 535.5 of the Welfare and Institutions Code of the state, the delinquency prevention commission is established.

§ 2.76.020. Powers and duties.

The delinquency prevention commission shall coordinate on a countywide basis the work of those governmental and nongovernmental organizations engaged in actives designed to prevent juvenile delinquency. The commission may receive funds from governmental and nongovernmental sources to hire an executive secretary and necessary staff and to defray needed administrative expenses. The commission may expend its funds on specific projects designed to accomplish its objectives.

The juvenile justice commission is designated to serve as the delinquency prevention commission.
