§ 1.10.010. Created.¶
The parks and recreation department of the city of South Gate is established and created.

§ 1.10.020. Office of director created.¶
The office of director of parks and recreation is created.

§ 1.10.030. Powers and duties.¶
The duties and powers of the office of such director of the parks and recreation department of the city of South Gate, California, and of the director thereof, are as follows:
A. The director of parks and recreation shall carry out the directions of the chief administrative officer, and to that end shall organize and direct the use of playgrounds and recreational centers owned, operated, or maintained by the city of South Gate.
B. The director of parks and recreation shall enforce all ordinances of the city of South Gate regulating parks, playgrounds and recreational centers, and their use, and may, in furtherance of such duties, have power to remove or cause to be removed and excluded from any of the parks, playgrounds, and recreational centers, any person violating such ordinances for a period not to exceed twenty-four hours.
C. Hearing. A hearing to determine the extent and violation of the ordinance shall be held after the removal of the person within seven days.
D. The director of parks and recreation shall have the care and control of all equipment, grounds and paraphernalia owned or controlled by the city of South Gate in use for park, playground or recreation center purposes.
