1.12.010 - Continuation of county ordinances and Shasta Dam Area Public Utility District Code.¶
All ordinances of the county of Shasta applicable before incorporation and all of the Shasta Dam Area Public Utility District Codes shall remain in full force and effect until this section is repealed or the city of Shasta Lake enacts an ordinance superseding the ordinances of the county of Shasta or the Shasta Dam Area Public Utility District Code.

1.12.020 - Continuation of county resolutions, rules and regulations.¶
All resolutions, rules and regulations of the county of Shasta which have been applicable to implementation of the aforesaid ordinances of the county of Shasta and the Shasta Dam Area Public Utility District to the extent that they applied before incorporation shall remain in full force and effect as resolutions, rules and regulation, respectively, of the city of Shasta Lake.

1.12.030 - Declaration of intent.¶
Certain provisions of the county and public utility district enactments referred to in Sections 1.12.010 and 1.12.020 of this chapter reflect the county or public utility district governmental structure and contain references to officials, official titles, commissions, and other designations which are not a part of the structure of this city's government. In order to effectively and intelligently administer the county and public utility district enactments to the extent that they are continued in effect by this chapter, it is the purpose of this chapter to provide for the substitution of the appropriate city official, title, or designation in county enactments.
In the event of a conflict or dispute regarding the applicability of a county or public utility district ordinance or resolution, rule or regulation the city manager will make a recommendation concerning applicability and the final decision will be made by the city council.

1.12.040 - Amendments.¶
The following amendments are made to the county of Shasta ordinances and Shasta Dam Area Public Utility District's Code referenced herein:
A. Whenever "board of supervisors" or "board" or whenever "board of directors" is used in the code or ordinance, it means the Shasta Lake city council.
B. Whenever "district" is used in the ordinance, it means the geographical limits of the city of Shasta Lake unless a different geographical area is clearly indicated by the context.
C. Whenever "county," "county of Shasta," "district," "Shasta Dam Area Public Utility District," or "unincorporated territory of the county of Shasta" is used, it means the city of Shasta Lake.

1.12.050 - Enforcement of continuing county ordinances.¶
The enforcement of the county ordinances continuing in effect in the incorporated area shall be by the city except insofar as services of enforcement are furnished by the county in accordance with Government Code Section 57384.

1.12.060 - Violation—Penalty.¶
It is unlawful for any person, firm, partnership or corporation to violate any provision or to fail to comply with any of the requirements of the codes adopted in this chapter. Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation violating any provisions of said codes or failing to comply with any of their requirements shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm, partnership, or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense of each and every day or any portion thereof during which any violation of the provisions of said codes is committed, continued, or permitted by such person, firm, partnership or corporation, and shall be deemed punishable therefore as provided in this chapter.

1.12.070 - Civil remedies available.¶
The violation of any of the provisions of any of the Codes adopted in this chapter shall constitute a nuisance and may be abated by the city of Shasta Lake through civil process by means of a restraining order, preliminary or permanent injunction or in any other manner provided by law for the abatement of such nuisance.
