3.04.010 - Transference of duties.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 1 of Chapter 2 of Division 1 of Title 5 of the Government Code of the state (Government Code Sections 51500-51520), the council transfers the assessment and tax collection duties performed by the city assessor and tax collector to the assessor and tax collector of Santa Cruz County, the county in which the city is situate.

3.04.020 - Compensation to county.

The city shall pay to the county of Santa Cruz such compensation as may be fixed by agreement between the board of supervisors of Santa Cruz County and the council, and the negotiation of such an agreement is hereby authorized.

3.04.030 - Transfer of assessor duties to city clerk.

All duties provided by law to be performed by the city assessor, other than the assessing of property, shall be transferred to, and be performed by the city clerk or such other officer as the council may hereafter determine by resolution. All duties provided by law to be performed by the city tax collector, other than the collection of taxes, shall be transferred to and be performed by the city clerk or such other officer as the city may hereafter determine by resolution.
