Sec. B14-54.1. - Concessions.

(a) The Director may conduct or control, either directly or through separate agreement, all Concessions whatsoever in and about Park Areas, including, but not limited to, Concessions for checking property, for sale of refreshments, for sale or rental of other merchandise or articles for distribution, for programs, for taking photographs, for parking, and for other uses.

(b) No one shall sell or offer for sale any Alcoholic Beverage in or about any Park Area, or in or about any buildings, facilities, or other structures in any Park without a Valid Permit issued by the Director. Alcoholic Beverages dispensed or distributed without charge or included in the price of admission are not authorized unless approved by the Director by issuance of a Valid Permit authorizing such use.

(c) Commercial use of facilities, buildings, or other structures in Parks may be permitted by separate agreement, where such agreement specifies the percentage of income to be shared with the Department.

Sec. B14-54.2. - Vendors.

Service type vendors or concessionaires are required to obtain a Valid Permit issued by the Director.

Sec. B14-54.3. - Solicitation and leafleting.

No person or organization shall engage in the soliciting, selling, or peddling of any liquids or edibles for human or animal consumption; distribute circulars; or, hawk, peddle, or vend any goods, wares, merchandise, or services of any kind except by Valid Permit issued by the Director.

Sec. B14-54.4. - Commercial photography, commercial filmmaking, and performances.

(a) No person or organization shall engage in Commercial Filmmaking or Commercial Photography except by Valid Permit issued by the Director.

(b) No television, radio, or motion picture rights shall be granted for any commercial use except by contract reviewed by the Director and approved consistent with the County's contracting policies.

(c) Persons employed by or under contract with any user of a Park to work with stage sets, sceneries, rigging properties, lighting, sound equipment, or to perform other work of specialized or technical nature, including ushering and other duties, shall be experienced and competent and in every respect qualified to perform their duties without jeopardy or hazard to life, property, or equipment. A Park user may be required to show proof of workman's compensation coverage for employees.
