Sec. B14-53.1. - Special use permit application procedure.

(a) It is the applicant's responsibility to timely complete an application for a special use permit when a special use permit is required.

(b) The applicant may also be required to provide: map of Park Areas/trails being requested; emergency, safety, and security plans; information necessary to determine suitability of the site for the proposed event or activity.

(c) Each application for a special use permit must be received at a designated office in the Department not less than 30 calendar days and not more than 365 calendar days in advance of the date for which such permit is requested. All fees, Deposits, special permits, or certificates of insurance required by the Director shall be submitted at least 15 calendar days prior to and not more than 365 calendar days prior to the event or activity.

(d) The Director may consider and waive time limits on applications received outside of the minimum or maximum time requirements if such event or activity is in the best interests of the Park and Park users. Approval for special use permits will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to site availability.
