2.43.010 - Chief Probation Officer; selection and duties.

There is an office of Chief Probation Officer, who shall be selected and appointed in accordance with state law and who shall discharge those duties required by state law, including but not limited to:

(a) Administration of the Probation Department and probation programs within the County;

(b) Management and control of the internal affairs of the Juvenile Hall and Juvenile Camps in accordance with general law; and

(c) Appointment of deputies consistent with the County Charter and Civil Service system.

2.43.020 - Use of dependent children's home.

Dependent or neglected children who are not delinquent may be placed by the Probation Officer in the home for dependent children, temporarily, if and when said home is approved for such purposes by the Juvenile Court.

2.43.030 - Juvenile Camp Programs.

There is hereby created and established pursuant to the provisions of sections 880 to 891 inclusive of the Welfare and Institutions Code a Juvenile Camp Program, to which persons made wards of the court on the ground of fitting the description in section 602 may be committed. The Probation Department shall manage and control the internal affairs of the Juvenile Camp Program.

2.43.040 - Collection of probation department fees.

The following fees and charges shall be paid to the San Mateo County Probation Department or the County of San Mateo collection agent:

A. Fees for providing probation supervision of adults, pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.1b:

Adult—Misdemeanor: $75 per month.

Adult—Felony: $100 per month.

B. Fees for adult pre-sentencing investigations/reports pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.1b:

Restitution Report: $365 per report.

Processing of medical records: $228 per report.

C. Fees for adult drug testing (for positive tests only) pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.1ab:

Adult drug testing (positive tests only): $25 per test.

D. Fees for daily charges for the care of juveniles detained pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 903 and 904:

Care and maintenance fee: $30 per day.

E. Fees for approving new and existing batterers' programs, pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.097(c)(5)(B):

New Program: $250.

Annual Renewal: $250.

F. Fee for the intrastate jurisdictional transfers pursuant to Penal Code Sections 1203.9 and 1203.1(b): $600 per transfer.

G. Fee for the interstate compact transfers pursuant to Penal Code Sections 11175 to 11179 and 1203.1(b): $450 per transfer.

H. Administration fee to collect victim restitutions from adult probationers pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.1(l): 15%.

I. Fee for the sealing of juvenile records pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Section 903.3 (b): $150 per case.
