2.41.010 - Director of Department of Child Support Services.¶
There is established a Department of Child Support Services. The department shall be under the direction and management of the Director of the Department of Child Support Services who shall appoint all employees of the department.

2.41.020 - Duties of the Department.¶
The department shall be responsible for the performance of child support enforcement activities required by law and regulation in a manner prescribed by the State Department of Child Support Services. As a state program with state funding and budget oversight, the department will not be funded from the County General Fund. To the extent such services are funded by state funds, the department shall be responsible for securing, modifying, and enforcing child and spousal support obligations, including medical support, and for determining paternity in a case of a child born out of wedlock, and for all further responsibilities delegated to the local child support agency pursuant to Division 17 (commencing with section 17000) of the California Family Code.
