§ 2.5.100. SECTION 504 COORDINATOR AND ADA COORDINATOR.¶
The City of San Leandro Section 504 Coordinator shall be the Housing Specialist I in the Community Development Department, and the Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator will be the Community Relations Representative in the City Manager's Office.
The 504 Coordinator and ADA Coordinator shall be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the City of San Leandro to comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, respectively as they pertain to services, programs, events, activities, facilities and public meetings. The respective coordinator shall investigate complaints that the City or the City's subrecipients of Federal funding have violated statutes or regulations under the Acts, or other state or federal laws relating to persons with disabilities.
Issues arising in the course of employment with or employment application to the City of San Leandro are covered by Administrative Procedure #1230 Reasonable Accommodation Process, and are not subject to the provisions of this Administrative Code Chapter.
