1.12.010 - General election.¶
Pursuant to Section 1301 and 10403.5 of the California Elections Code and as authorized thereby, the City's general elections shall, commencing on the next statewide general election of November 3, 2026 and henceforth, be held on statewide general election date in even-numbered years.

1.12.020 - Voluntary expenditure ceiling.¶
Pursuant to Government Code 85400(c), a voluntary expenditure ceiling of twenty-five cents ($0.25) per resident is established for candidates and controlled committees of such candidates for elective office for each election in the City in which the candidate is seeking elective office.

1.12.030 - Filming, videotaping, audio recording and photography at municipal election site.¶
No person, other than a person holding a valid media credential recognized by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, on a municipal election day, shall, within a polling place, film, videotape, make a sound recording or photograph persons signing the roster or casting ballots.
As used in this section "within a polling place" means inside the room or rooms where the signing voters are signing the roster and casting ballots.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) and/or up to one year's imprisonment in the county jail.
