2.04.010 - Meetings.¶
There will be two regular meetings of the city council during each calendar month. Meeting dates and times will be set by resolution of the city council. The closed session of each such meeting, if any, may be held prior to the agendized time of the open session, with the beginning time of the closed session noted on the posted agenda.

2.04.020 - Organization.¶
The council will reorganize and select one of its number as mayor, and one as mayor pro tempore, on the following occasions:
A. At the first regular meeting held during the month of December; or
B. At such times as a majority of the council may so order.

2.04.030 - Meeting place.¶
The council chambers in the City Hall located at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North, within the city, is designated as the official meeting place of the city council.

2.04.040 - Vacancies.¶
A person appointed to fill a vacancy on the city council shall hold office only until the date of a special election which shall immediately be called to fill the remainder of the term. The special election shall be held on the date of the next regularly established election or regularly scheduled municipal election or on any other date not less than one hundred fourteen days from the call of the special election. This section shall not apply to any person appointed to the city council under Section 10229 of the California Elections Code nor shall anything in this section compel the holding of a special election called to fill the remainder of an unexpired term if said election may be cancelled pursuant to Section 10229 of the California Elections Code.
