8.100.010 - Purpose and authority.¶
The purpose of this chapter is to establish fees for the inspection of each dairy farm which produces market milk and each milk products plant which processes and handles market milk under the jurisdiction of the approved milk inspection service of the county so designated and assigned by the Director of the Food and Agriculture Code of the state of California pursuant to Section 33081 of the Food and Agriculture Code. The authority for this chapter is contained in Section 33252 of the Food and Agriculture Code.

8.100.020 - Area of application.¶
This chapter shall be enforceable within the area under the jurisdiction of the approved milk inspection service, including incorporated as well as unincorporated territory.

8.100.030 - Fees required.¶
The fees for the inspection of each dairy farm which produces milk shall be established by resolution adopted by the board of supervisors.

8.100.040 - Payment of fees.¶
The fees as required by Section 8.100.030 shall be due and payable on a quarterly basis to the director of health of the county or his or her designated representative on or before the last day of the month following the end of each calendar quarter-year period.

8.100.050 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Any producer or distributor violating Sections 8.100.030 and 8.100.040 shall be guilty of an infraction and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by:
A. A fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first violation;
B. A fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the second violation within one year;
C. A fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for each additional violation within one year.
Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense.
