§ 3-13.01. Fees for police and fire records.

Any person requesting a copy of a record or report prepared by the Police Department or the Fire Department shall pay to the administrative authority, at the time of the request, a fee as set from time to time by resolution of the Mayor and City Council. Such fees shall be set based on recovery of labor, time and materials used to accommodate the request.

§ 3-13.02. Waiver of fees for police and fire records.

The Chief of Police or the Fire Chief may waive all or a portion of the fees for police or fire records, respectively, upon the presentation and review of facts indicating that the fees present a particular hardship for the requesting person and that the person: (A) is the victim in the incident; and/or (B) qualifies for low income status.
