9.04.010: FALSE REPORTS TO POLICE UNLAWFUL:¶
No person shall wilfully make to the police department any false, misleading or unfounded report, for the purpose of interfering with the operation of the police department or with the intention of misleading any police officer. (Prior code § 40201)
9.04.020: INJURY, DEFACEMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTY:¶
It is unlawful for any person within the city to mar, injure or deface any part of any public building, bench, settee or any other public property within the city. (Prior code §§ 50000, 50004)
9.04.030: POLICE CANINES AND EQUINES; PROTECTION:¶
It is the intent of the city council of the city of Redlands to protect canines and equines, utilized by the police department, from interference and harm while such animals are in use in the performance of functions or duties of the police department. (Ord. 1682 § 1, 1979)
9.04.040: POLICE CANINES AND EQUINES; PROHIBITED CONDUCT:¶
It is unlawful for any person to wilfully or maliciously tease, taunt, torment, strike, kick, mutilate, disable, or otherwise injure, or kill, or to unwarrantably interfere or meddle with any canine or equine while such animal is being utilized by the police department, or any officer or employee thereof, in the performance of any function or duty of such department, or of such officer or employee. (Ord. 1682 § 2, 1979)
9.04.050: POLICE CANINES AND EQUINES; VIOLATION; PENALTY:¶
Any person violating any of the provisions of sections 9.04.030 and 9.04.040 of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) or imprisoned in the county jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by being both so fined and imprisoned.
