9.16.010 - Entering quarantined house.

No person, except the physician, clergyman or undertaker in attendance, and those having the written consent of the health officer, shall enter or depart from any house where smallpox, cholera or any other contagious disease exists, or while the corpse of any person who has died of such disease remains in the house, nor within ten days thereafter, or until the building and its contents have been disinfected or otherwise disposed of to the satisfaction of the health officer.

9.16.020 - Quarantined vehicle.

No person shall for a period of forty-eight hours, unless sooner authorized by a written permit of the health officer, use or drive or suffer to be used or furnished any wagon or vehicle belonging to him or under his control which has been used in conveying any person infected with smallpox or the body of any person who may have died of smallpox.

9.16.030 - Fumigation.

The health officer shall have power during the prevalence of an epidemic to fumigate and disinfect any premises which, in his judgment, require disinfection.

9.16.040 - Precautionary regulations.

Whenever the city council is of the opinion that the public health and interest demand urgent or stringent measures to prevent the spread of an existing epidemic or a contagious or infectious disease, it shall, by a resolution or order passed or adopted at either a regular or special meeting of the board, instruct the health and police officers of the city to require each and every person to observe such precautions and regulations specified in the resolution or order as the city council may deem necessary or expedient.
