2.32.010. - Office created.

There is hereby created and established the office of director of finance.

2.32.020. - Transfer of duties of city clerk to the director of finance.

A. The powers and duties imposed upon the city clerk by Government Code tit. 4, div. 3, pt. 2, ch. 4 (Government Code § 37201 et seq.) are hereby transferred to the director of finance in accordance with Government Code § 37209.

B. The financial and accounting powers and duties imposed upon the city clerk by Government Code §§ 40802—40805 are hereby transferred to the director of finance, as authorized by Government Code § 40805.5.

2.32.030. - Duties of the director of finance.

The director of finance shall perform the following accounting and financial duties in addition to those provided for in section 2.32.020:

A. Administration of financial affairs of the city;

B. Maintenance of a general accounting system and records which will accurately reflect the city financial transactions, and preparation of financial statements and performance reports which will clearly show the financial condition of the city including revenue, expenses and capital assets;

C. Ensuring the maintenance of inventory records of surpluses and control of capital assets and ensuring that an annual inventory is maintained.
