§ 16.38.010. Title.¶
This chapter shall be known and cited as the Rancho Cordova green building code.

§ 16.38.020. Purpose.¶
The purpose of the Rancho Cordova green building code is to provide minimum standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property, and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures within this jurisdiction.

§ 16.38.030. Adoption of Green Building Codes.¶
All deemed mandatory provisions of the 2025 California Green Building Standards Code, Part 11, Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the "State Code"), and any rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto, are hereby adopted and incorporated by reference herein. Except as otherwise provided by this chapter and Chapter 16.02 RCMC, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the city of Rancho Cordova.
