Portola Municipal Code Ch. 18.06 Procedure for Abatement of Nuisance

This chapter establishes by ordinance a nuisance abatement procedure for the city of Portola. The procedure is applicable to any nuisance arising out of state or local law, including, but not limited to, violations of Titles 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 15, and 18 of the city of Portola Municipal Code and Sections 373(a) and 402b of the California Penal Code. The procedure is not set forth here, but is adopted by reference as described in the paragraphs that follow.

In addition to the provisions of Chapter 18.06 of this code, the procedure set forth in the city's uniform code for the abatement of dangerous buildings, excluding housing, in Section 15.04.030 of this code and the procedure set forth in the city's Uniform Housing Code in Section 15.04.070 of this code are declared to be the procedures for abatement that are established by the city of Portola, in accordance with California Government Code Section 25845(a). The procedure in Section 15.04.070 is reserved for matters covered by the City's Housing Code. In all other matters the procedure in Section 15.04.030 of this code shall be used.
