18.01.010 - Enforcement authority.

The authority to enforce the provisions of the City of Portola Municipal Code, and to obtain compliance, shall be vested in the City of Portola City Manager, Building Official, Building Inspector Official, Planner, Animal Control Enforcement Officer, Business License Official, Code Enforcement Officer, Community Service Officer, Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Inspector, Fire Official, Police Chief, Police Officer, or their designees. Said officials are collectively referred to in this chapter as "City of Portola Code Enforcement Officers". City of Portola Code Enforcement Officers shall have the authority to issue citations and make arrests in the enforcement of all provisions of the City of Portola Municipal Code.

18.01.020 - Enforcement and issuance of citations.

City of Portola Code Enforcement and Community Service Officers shall have the authority to issue citations and make arrests in the enforcement of California Penal Code Section 373(a) Maintaining a Public Nuisance After Abatement Notice, California Penal Code Section 374.2 Maliciously Discharging Harmful Substances into the Public Sanitary Sewer System, California Penal Code Section 374.3 Dumping Waste Matter on to a Public or Private Highway, Road, Right-of-Way, Private Property, Public Park or Public Property, California Penal Code Section 374.4 Littering on Public or Private Property, California Penal Code Section 374.5 Reinserting or Dumping Material Removed from a Grease Trap or Grease Interceptor, California Penal Code Section 374.7 Littering or Dumping Waste Material into River or Other Body of Water, and California Penal Code Section 402b Discarding or Abandoning Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Etc. Not in Use; Failure to Remove Door, Latch.
